5 Reasons to Come to The Drop

Feb 23, 20140 CommentsEvents

If you didn’t know already, The Drop is a monthly music event which harnesses the talent on and offstage, by allowing producers and songwriters to submit their tracks to us.

We then hand them directly to the artists who have performed on the night to use on their new projects. If that’s not enough, here are 5 reasons why you should come down on March 4th…

5. You could be on Scorcher’s next album

Sounds kind of awesome, right? Scorcher has told us that he wants “high quality bangers with catchy hooks”. He will listen to the tracks submitted and if he likes them, will be in contact, and the same goes for all the artists. So get creating!

4. There will be 4 amazing performers

Alongside the headliner Scorcher there will be performances from Jordan Morris who has recently collaborated with Dappy, singer/songwriter Jamilah, and BBC Live Lounge featured Noeva.

Despite the fact that this event is happening on a Tuesday, will be having a throwback moment as we bring back the soulful Carla Jaye who performed at our last show. Time travel Tuesdays anyone?

3. You will be brushing shoulders with industry insiders

It’s not just the people on stage that are talented. Previous attendees at our event include A&Rs, artist managers looking for new talent and journalists.

2. We know how to party

After a long night of performances, submissions and networking we will be throwing some shapes on the dancefloor with DJ Shorty Bless (he’s awesome and dj’ed at the MOBOs, just saying.)

1. Scorcher and his manager could become your personal careers adviser

This month we are running a competition (woohoo) and the prize is getting a sit down on the night with Scorcher and his manager Haynzy, where you can get advice on your career and ask any burning questions you’ve always wanted to ask.

All you have to do is film a cover of one of Scorcher’s songs and tweet it to us (@itsthedrop) and him, obvs (@scorcherslife)
